Georgia ARES Member Registration Info

Emergency Notification System

The Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) has offered GA ARES the opportunity to use the GHA Emergency Notification System. The system provides us the opportunity to instantly send information during potential/ongoing emergencies. There is no cost to GA ARES to
participate in the use of the system. The Hospital Team has been using the system for several years.

Messages can be sent simultaneously to all members who choose to participate or to any subset of our members. For example, thunderstorms do not affect the entire state at once. They typically occur as a line that moves across the state with various levels of
severity. A subgroup receiving alerts might be at the county level, a group of counties, or a GA ARES District with relevant information.

Messages will only be sent when a potential incident is on the horizon or during ongoing emergencies. Test messages will be sent occasionally.

Use the link below to complete the form and submit it. Some of the fields may not seem relevant to use. However, our data needs to match the system database structure. Some fields are required and are denoted by an asterisk.

ONLY complete the fields for the methods in which you want to be notified. There are three options for notification:

Email

Phone call

Text message (denoted as SMS on the form)

Each completed field will be interpreted as a choice to receive messages via that method. The options are to receive messages by 1, 2, or all 3 methods.

For example, completing the phone and email fields means that you will receive a phone call and a mail message. Leave the fields blank if you do not want to receive notifications by a particular choice or choices.
